From an early age it was apparent that my Dad and I shared a common interest

in horses. I am very thankful for my Dad’s influence and background as a

horseman. My early memories of watching Dad work at the coal forge were

giving me a desire to follow in his footsteps.  Having grown up working with

horses and demonstrating giftedness with them it was a natural fit when he

became part of the U.S. Cavalry. Through the training he received there, his

skills developed and he became a top farrier.

I also learned what good customer service looks like from my Dad. He owned a

small business in our small Minnesota town and taught me by example how to

courteously relate to people as we worked side by side.

My son, Lane, is a full-time farrier in Colorado. This makes him the 3rd generation of farriers in our family.
